Endless Loop 12:12 video animation features a cohort of animals, including 2 deer paired as one that collect memories, a baby elephant, a snake, 2 Chitas, a monkey, and ..., which I have been developing since 2017. Their human-like eyes mirror the shape of the eye that frames the loop – viewers move into the milieu and relational choreographies of each animal through this large eye. Conceptually, the loop produces a clock made of twelve different animals in a forest setting. These animals all have human-like eyes, which have been a key part of my artwork since 2017. Instead of following a linear timeline, Endless Loop, moves along cyclical time. Set within the shape of a large eye, the piece suggests that looking within ourselves is closely linked to understanding others; by looking inward, we can begin to grasp the world outside ourselves.
